This webinar provides a practical, step-by-step approach to the initial assessment and stabilization of small animal trauma patients. Using a structured ABCD-based primary and secondary survey, participants will learn how to rapidly identify and prioritize life-threatening conditions in polytrauma cases, including respiratory compromise, shock, neurological injury, and internal hemorrhage.

Key topics include blunt and penetrating trauma, high-rise syndrome, hit-by-car injuries, bite wounds, thoracic and abdominal trauma, acute traumatic coagulopathy, and traumatic brain injury. Emphasis is placed on point-of-care diagnostics (POCUS/tFAST), targeted imaging, early therapeutic interventions, and common pitfalls in trauma management.

This webinar is designed to strengthen clinical decision-making in the emergency setting and to help veterinarians manage trauma patients with confidence, efficiency, and a clear treatment strategy from presentation to stabilization.
