Sanne graduated as a veterinarian in 2008 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Ghent University). She then completed a rotating internship at the Small Animal Department in Merelbeke.
After working for a year as an anesthesia intern in France, she returned to Ghent and began her specialization in anesthesia, which she successfully completed in 2014 with her European specialist diploma (Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia).
In 2015, she moved to the United Kingdom, where she became an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Since 2016, she has been working at Pride Veterinary Referrals as an anesthetist, where she is also responsible for the pain clinic. Sanne has a particular interest in the induction and monitoring of anesthesia, recognizing pain in animals, and treating chronic pain.
In 2026, she moved back to the Netherlands, where she is currently working at Dierenziekenhuis Hart van Brabant (Evidensia Netherlands).
