Tracheal collapse is a common and often progressive condition in small breed dogs that may result in chronic coughing, dyspnea and exercise intolerance. In this practical webinar, you will receive a clear and evidence-based overview of the etiology, pathophysiology and clinical presentation of tracheal collapse.

We will guide you step by step through the diagnostic approach, including the role and limitations of radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasonography and tracheobronchoscopy as the gold standard. Special attention will be given to relevant comorbidities such as bronchomalacia, pulmonary hypertension and myxomatous mitral valve disease, which may significantly impact prognosis and therapeutic decision-making.

Finally, we will discuss the available treatment options, ranging from medical management to interventional and surgical techniques such as intraluminal stenting and extraluminal prostheses, including their indications, complications and long-term follow-up.

After this webinar, you will be better equipped to accurately diagnose dogs with tracheal collapse, develop an appropriate treatment plan and provide realistic guidance to owners regarding prognosis and lifelong management.
